VW-ism

Okay, so I hope if I ever drive a woman off a bridge people can remember all the good things that I have done and forget about that one blight on my record. But, he could have still been president.

Here are some of the good things the Tedster has done:
  • In a 1971 letter, he said: "While the deep concern of a woman bearing an unwanted child merits consideration and sympathy, it is my personal feeling that the legalization of abortion on demand is not in accordance with the value which our civilization places on human life. Wanted or unwanted, I believe that human life, even at its earliest stages, has certain rights which must be recognized - the right to be born, the right to love, the right to grow old."
Okay, but then he kind of went back on that. Perhaps he noticed that our civilization no longer placed that value on human life, and being the community leader, he chose to follow suit.

But, we ought not to speak completely ill of the dead. Kennedy did have many achievements for the good rather than evil, it's just that he should not be celebrated as one of our secular saints.

Tree falling-ism

So, what if someone wrote a blog and there was no one out there to read it. Would it then still be a blog? And would the writer still be a blogger... am I in fact blogging. Now my head hurts and I have sixteen biochemistry lectures to read over.

Pre-read -ism

Well, day 3 of medikal skewl. One day here is, informationally, the rough equivalent of a week's worth of any class I have taken anywhere.

I've begun prereading. That is the study technique where you read over the notes and materials before the LECTURE (it's like studying for a test but done way earlier). Well, it makes the lectures boring or confusing (not more confusing just confusing in a different way). Because, either the information seems disgustingly familiar, or you are trying to figure out why it doesn't sound familiar and where the professor is in his notes. Not only that, I feel like a nerd...

14% Rise in Fake Statistics

I have direct TV. This is a big deal for me. Sometimes I like to think of all the wonderful shows I could watch if I had a TV. The service is here, the double secret DirekTV decoder box is here... but we have no TV.
